Music - There will be a short meeting today at lunch, in the band room, for all students who signed up for Jazz band.  If you didn’t sign up, it’s not too late - come to the meeting.

 

Best Buddies Program - there will be a meeting for all new and returning Best Buddies on Monday September 26th at 12:00 in Room 155. If you are interested in becoming a part of this important Bluefield community - please attend and sign up! 

 

Students, it's time to order your Bluefield Science shirt and wear it for the whole year. You can have any colour but white. They are the least expensive Bluefield clothing at only $10  per shirt. Go to room 273 any day at lunch to order yours.

Bobcat Relay:
Registration pick-up TODAY. Please make sure you return all signed forms at the same time. If you have yet to pick up your registration package, please come to the phys ed area at lunch to get one! 
 
Please bring your bikes in the morning of Monday, September 26th, or Tuesday, September 27th to the phys ed area. Please ensure the bikers are in the Carpentry Lab (Room 133) during lunch the day of the event to have your bikes inspected.
 
 

GOLF TEAM:
There will be a VERY important meeting for the Bluefield Golf Team (men and women) at 12 noon today in Mr. Carragher’s room (room 207).  Everyone please attend!
 

For anyone Interested in the amazing world of Improv, there will be a meeting TODAY in room 123 at 11:45!!

LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY PAGE PROGRAM - (Open to Students in grades 11 and 12) 
Would you like to be a Page in the Prince Edward Island Legislature? This is a unique opportunity to see the legislature in action!  Pages are an integral part of the legislative process at the Legislative Assembly - not only will you see history in the making; you will be part of it!

The Occupational Health & Safety Leadership Program
The Workers Compensation Board (WBC) is seeking two high school students per school to work as a team of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Leaders in your schools.  As participants you will receive $500 when you successfully complete this program.  More information and applications available in Student Services. Deadline:  September 30th.
 

Youth-On-Board Program:

Youth in rural communities – enrolled in Grades 10 to 12 – have the opportunity to take an active role in non-profit boards and municipal government in their communities. Through the Youth-on-Board Program they will learn about what it means to be a member of a Board of Directors, how to properly run a meeting, and how to better develop a resume. Students and Volunteer Groups will receive an honorarium. Deadline to apply is September 27! More information in Student Services. 


Pearson College Opportunity (two years at Pearson (near Victoria, BC) to finish High School - IB Diploma).  Open to students in grade 11.  Deadline October 16th, 2022. More information in Student Services.

Well-being Wednesdays:
Every Wednesday, 9AM - 12PM
Opportunity of meet with a nurse or social worker to discuss concerns related to well-being such as: stress, anxiety, depression, sexual heath, self harm, thoughts of suicide or other mental health related topics
Student appointments will be arranged in a discreet manner, students can request an appointment by filling out a slip located outside room 236
 
 
The PEI Soccer Association is hosting the U15 Soccer Club Nationals from Wednesday Oct5th to Monday Oct 10th . We are looking for some volunteers over the 6-day event.   We are looking for the following positions: ticket sellers, ball retrievers, canteen workers, game clock operators and Game Statistics & Data Entry.  These games will be held at UPEI University fields and the Terry Fox Sports Complex in Cornwall.
