Our second blue bistro will be Tuesday April 16th! This dish will include delicious chicken parmesan with al dente linguine, a side of two extra cheesy french garlic bread, and to finish it a decadent homemade strawberry shortcake. All this for only 12 dollars! You can pay in the office and exact change is appreciated. 


Student Council:
The first day of fishing is Monday April 15th, so what better way to show your school spirit by dressing in your ideal fishing outfits! Also to get into the spirit, test out your fishing skills at lunch in the student lobby and you could catch a fishy treat! 

 

Creative Writers the Bluefield Literary Awards Writing contest is DUE TODAY at 3:15 PM. Submissions need to be turned in to the Creative Writing Group Google Classroom. Late submissions will NOT be accepted. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Dyment or Mr. Perkin.


Student Services
Many of our April and May scholarships/bursaries have been posted.  There are more to come.  Please check under Student Services, on the Bluefield High School website, under Scholarships and Bursaries. 


2024 CFPEI Community Foundation Scholarships Deadline:  APRIL 15TH, 2024.  Scholarships are posted on the Student Services Website under Scholarships and Bursaries. 


Athletics:

Reminder that anyone interested in trying out for women's softball needs to check in with Mrs MacNevin, tryouts began Monday at 7:30am in the gym. 


Rugby training continues every day from 4:00 to 5:30 at the Terry Fox Complex. Reminder to athletes that the change rooms at TFC are not accessible. 


Flag Football: boys will begin next Tuesday the 16th in the gym from 3:30-5. Girls will practise on Wednesday from 3:30-5:00 Athletes should come with proper gym clothes and indoor sneakers.


Bluefield Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey continue elimination play this evening. The women’s team plays a semi-final game in Kensington at 5pm against Kishora. The men play a quarterfinal game in Kensington at 7:30pm against Ecole Sur Mer. Come on out and support your fellow Bobcats!

UPEI Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS) Information Sessions: Would having a university degree give you more opportunities? UPEI's Bachelor of Integrated Studies program is specifically designed for mature learners who are looking to earn a university degree. Students may study in Arts, Business or Science and pursue studies either part-time or full-time. The Bachelor of Integrated Studies at the University of Prince Edward Island places the unique needs of adult learners in focus, with a distinct entry point, ongoing learner support, choice of courses to meet employment requirements and personal interests. To learn more about the Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree program at the University of Prince Edward Island, you are invited to attend one of the live online events. This will include general information and guidance on completing your application. Attendees will be given a promo code to have their application fee waived ($50 CAD value).
