Last day for freezie sales!! The Inclusive Ed Dept will be selling freezies at lunchtime for $1.00 each. All proceeds will go to Easter Seals.


Could the student who borrowed a calculator from Mrs. McQuaid’s classroom without speaking to her please return it today.


The meeting for students traveling with Mr. Strickey to Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy will be today at 12:30 not 12  in the art room. 


It’s that time of year again. The annual Art’s Coffee House mug design contest is now live. Students can pick up a mug template from Mr. Strictly or speak with Mr. Lamey if they are interested in submitting a digital art submission. The winning design will be featured on our custom Art’s Coffee House mugs. You have until April 26th to submit your designs. 


Prom Committee:
Grade 12 students that signed up wanting to be a part of the Prom committee or any other Grade 12 student interested are asked to meet today at 12 noon in room 269 (Mrs McKenna’s classroom) for a quick meeting. If you are unable to make it, but are interested in being a part of this committee, please see Ms Auld in Student Services. 


Student Council:

  • Hey bobcats dust off your flannels and cowboy boots because Bluefield is having our very own BBMF(Bluefield Bobcat Music Festival). Show off your best jigs and line dances on Thursday the 25th from 6-8 for this honky tonk dance. Tickets will be sold in the student lobby today for 10$, and 15$ for sign ins. Sign ins must be submitted by April 23 to allow entry into the dance! Hope to see all that true bobcat spirit on the dance floor! If you buy one of the first 150 tickets you will receive a bluefield blue country bandana, so get you tickets early! 
  • Earth Day is coming! 🌍🌿 Wear camouflage or Earth colours (green, blue, brown, etc.) on Monday, April 22nd to celebrate our beautiful planet and in support of keeping the Earth clean and green!🌳


Want to exercise your green thumb and make Bluefield beautiful? Come to rm 211 Monday at 11:45 for a gardening club meeting. Looking for new members and creative ideas as we develop a new club at the school.


Student Services

Many of our April and May scholarships/bursaries have been posted.  There are more to come.  Please check under Student Services, on the Bluefield High School website, under Scholarships and Bursaries.  

Athletics:

Any rugby players who need to purchase rugby shorts, fittings will happen today and tomorrow at lunchtime in the gym area.


Boys’ Flag Football tryouts will continue Monday, April 22, from 5:00-6:30 in the gym.

To learn more about the Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree program at the University of Prince Edward Island, you are invited to attend one of the live online events. This will include general information and guidance on completing your application. Attendees will be given a promo code to have their application fee waived ($50 CAD value).
